This is going to be just notes on how I am ATTEMPTING to secure this damn site.

Within 24 hours of being indexed on Google, I was already being nailed by crap. MediaWiki links and howtos seem to be complete, but damn! How hard is it to say by default if I dont approve someone be a valid user on my site dont allow posts.. The documentation sucks for something this basic that I think should be a default. Start secure and relax your security posture down to the level you are willing to accept. Going the other direction is dumb.
